CJBP Be Cozy Winter Client Retreat January 10-12, 2020
Winter can often be a time of sadness. The cold chills can be hard to shake, from your body and soul. Evenings are filled with darkness and dormancy. Do you need a reprieve from the darkness? A place filled with candlelight, and comfort food, and new friends? A place to connect, in person, instead of behind a computer screen? A slumber party with your new best friends? My winter retreat is that place.
We’ll gather Friday evening for a comfort food dinner prepared by our personal chef for the weekend, Tyler. We will all get to know each other and have a dance class appropriate for all levels, moving our bodies to shake off some of the winter dormancy. We’ll do some activities to release old emotions and pain to make room for a fabulous new year. Saturday, after a big breakfast, will be a day of photo shoots. If we have pretty snow we’ll run outside for some photos. It’s Indiana, so I can’t guarantee that! I will have a pretty wintry setup, either indoor or outdoor, depending on the weather. Think big cozy oversized sweaters, your favorite coffee or hot chocolate mug, fluffy blankets for your mini shoot. When it is not time for your photo shoot, you can hang out with your new friends, work on an art project, bring a book and find a cozy nook to read. We will have an empowering class with an art therapist. Saturday evening after dinner we might go out for an evening on the town depending on what shows are going on and the weather, I’m hoping there will be a local burlesque show we can attend! If not, we’ll stay home and watch a movie and do some candlelit photos. Sunday we’ll wake up with fun activities with plans in the works before a delicious brunch and prepare to say our “see you laters” and return to the real world refreshed and ready to face the rest of the winter with light in our hearts.
